There are few meals that warrant attention, small dishes, memorable ones; so simple and so rich. The Five Minute Egg Bruschetta at Lilette, is just that dish. There are just a handful of ingredients; bread, egg, anchovy, Parmigiano-Reggiano, parsley, olive oil, but its the combination that matters. This dish is one of many excellent items served at Lilette, a New Orleans staple, always at the top of my “go to” list whenever I visit the town. Located on the classic Magazine street, Lilette has been highly touted through the years, even hailed as having one of the sexiest dining rooms in New Orleans. That’s quite an accomplishment for such a sultry town. Hats off to Chef John Harris, and Edward Charles. But back to this dish, I will give you two photos to savor. When you visit New Orleans, get a table at Lilette. Thank me later. You’re welcome, in advance. Lilette – 3637 Magazine st. (between Louisiana and Napoleon) 504.895.1636 – info@liletterestaurant.com
