This is a quick and simple dessert recipe you can make with your children. In fact, it comes from a children’s cookbook. The book is called “The Silver Spoon for Children”. It’s the children’s version of the best-selling Italian cookbook, “The Silver Spoon”. All the recipes in the book have been tested by children. It is well illustrated and directions are simple to follow. The book also includes cooking techniques for the little chef in your life.
We have made this dessert quite a few times. My children love it and it’s super quick. I timed it, and it took us 8 minutes to make and that includes time fighting over who is going to mash up the bananas. Your kids will have fun making this and even more fun eating it.
You will need Cinnamon, Mascarpone cheese, 2 bananas, a lemon, plain yogurt and some honey.
Peel 2 bananas and place in a mixing bowl.
Mash bananas with a potato masher or a fork.
Mash until smooth.
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the mashed banana mixture.
Add 4 tablespoons of Mascarpone cheese and …….
8 tablespoons of plain yogurt. I like using the greek yogurt. It’s thicker.
Now mix well.
Swirl in 4 teaspoons of honey. I think she went a little overboard there.
Serve into small bowls. If you like, you can put a few slices of banana on top or just sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon.
Enjoy till the bowl is licked clean!
